ESG – Striving for Sustainability
We care deeply about the environment and are committed to conducting business responsibly while reducing the carbon emissions associated with our operations. Sustainability is not just a statement for us; it is an ongoing journey that shapes how we work and the decisions we make every day.
We actively seek to reduce our environmental impact through both strategic commitments and practical, everyday actions. This includes using renewable energy to power our office, choosing suppliers who share our environmental values, and making continuous improvements to how we operate.
Partnering with Planet Mark
As part of our sustainability efforts, we work with Planet Mark to measure our carbon emissions, engage stakeholders, and communicate our progress transparently. SRLV is proud to be a Planet Mark Certified Business, having set our measurement boundary, reported our emissions, and committed to reducing Scope 1* and Scope 2* emissions by 5% annually.
Our Key Commitments:
- Annual Measurement & Reporting: We measure and report Scope 1* and 2* emissions, along with core Scope 3* categories under our control.
- Expanding Our Reporting Boundary: We aim to include all material emissions within the next year.
- Reduction Targets: We target a 5% reduction in Scope 1* and 2* emissions compared to the previous year.
Practical Actions
Beyond carbon measurement and reduction, we take practical steps to minimise our wider environmental impact and embed sustainable choices into our day‑to‑day operations.
We use a green courier service, Green Courier, for deliveries where possible, helping to reduce emissions associated with transportation. In our kitchen, we use recyclable products to limit waste and reduce the use of harmful materials.
We are also actively reducing our reliance on paper. Each month, we use less paper across the office and are working towards becoming a paperless business. Alongside this, we are progressively replacing traditional stationery with recyclable and environmentally friendly alternatives.
Our Environmental Committee meets monthly to review progress, share ideas, and implement new initiatives across the firm. We recycle IT equipment responsibly and offer old laptops to staff in exchange for a charitable donation, combining environmental responsibility with positive social impact.
Through these actions, and through our commitment to continual improvement, we aim to make a meaningful difference for the planet and contribute positively to the communities we serve, now and in the future.
*Scope Definitions:
