Intern Programme - Gain hands-on experience

Undergraduate placements provide invaluable real-life work experience unobtainable through study alone. Each year we select a cohort of promising students to join our year-long paid Intern Programme. You’ll be immersed in our world and guided by our supportive team, working with some fascinating clients – from music artists to international restaurant groups, luxury retailers and digital content creators.

Life at SRLV

Based in contemporary open plan offices in London’s buzzing West-End, our working environment is dynamic and fast-paced but nurturing too. Our 180-strong team, with over 20 languages between them, is diverse and inspiring. You’ll make friends, gain industry knowledge and work hard but you’ll also have some fun too; we’re a pretty social bunch.

We value unique traits and special strengths. We see everyone as individuals, shaping our intern application process to find the right character fit for our team, not just the best number crunchers around. Over the year long programme, we help you to build belief in yourself, to learn resilience and confidence and assess whether a career in accountancy could be for you.

Your Training & Development

As an intern, you’ll have the chance to work across Accounting, Business Management and Tax for our Creative Division and will be coached and supported by a technically excellent team. In our fast-paced but supportive learning environment, no two days will be the same. You’ll meet a wide variety of clients and work on real projects.

Responsibilities could include:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Music tour reconciliations
  • Assisting with clients’ financial & personal affairs
  • Making, monitoring and reporting on bank payments
  • Gathering tax packs & submitting tax returns
  • Providing high-level administrative support

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious undergraduate to gain practical, hands-on experience. You’ll finish with technical knowledge, core business skills and an insight into the world of accountancy that will equip you for any career in business.

If you demonstrate you have the ability and drive to be part of the SRLV team, it may even lead to a permanent role and training contract with us when you graduate from university.

The practical business and organisational skills interns learn will put them ahead when applying for jobs after graduation, and may even help them to achieve a better degree too.

Our interns gain incredible experience throughout their placement, working alongside partners for stakeholders across the creative industries, such as musicians/recording artists, actors and many other creative industry clients. As we’re one of the top three accountants for music & entertainment in the UK, there aren’t many firms offering opportunities like this.

I find it very motivating working alongside female partners, directors, and managers. It helps that everyone isn’t so segregated by their position at SRLV; they embrace individuality and treat everyone equally.
