I started in finance recruitment eight years ago, working at two Hertfordshire-based agencies for a mixture of clients within Practice and Industry, before joining SRLV in May this year.
As talent acquisition lead, I’m responsible for managing the firm’s recruitment and ensuring that we’re bringing the best quality candidates onboard. Part of this involves working with our hiring managers to ensure our recruitment processes are as effective and efficient as possible.
It’s rewarding work finding and recruiting new talent; watching staff settling into their new roles and grow within their careers, whilst helping our teams to work at full capacity. Recruitment tends to be problem solving, regardless of the level, so it’s always satisfying to work through that and come out on top.
The growth that SRLV’s going through means there’s plenty of scope for career progression here; we’re recruiting at all levels and are always keen to recruit from within. From a recruitment position, I get to see the firm’s expansion from a unique perspective. It’s something that I’m excited to be a part of and also something that’s bound to keep me very busy!
For me personally, I was ‘sold’ on joining SRLV from day one; from the staff I met at my interview, to the really relaxed, yet professional, feel of the offices. Naturally, the industries that the firm specialises in also made it interesting.
When I first started at the firm in May 2023 I was made to feel extremely welcome by everyone here. The culture is very social and although it might sound cliché, you can really feel the ‘family values’ within the company and around the office.
